Deepika P. Padukone an Indian model/actress was born on January 5, 1986. She started out with several prestigious modeling assignments before making her debut in a Kannada movie before a fairy tale debut in the 2007 blockbuster opposite Shahrukh Khan, Om Shanti Om.
Deepika was born to Prakash and Ujjala Padukone in Copenhagen, Her father is a famous badminton player who won the pretigious All England Title in the early 70's. The Padukone family relocated to Bangalore when she was barely eleven months old. She has a younger sister â Anisha Padukone who is passionate about golf. Inspite of having played badminton during her school days and reaching the level of a State player, Deepika did not pursue the sport to the nationals as she was keen to make a mark in the glamour world.
