Mumbai:  ...Aamir stood guard while the wife shot in Bhendi Bazaar for her directorial debut Dhobi Ghaat
Aamir Khan is not known as perfectionist Khan for nothing. The actor, who immerses himself in every role that he performs is also the perfect husband in real life. Recently, he played knight in shining armour to wife Kiran Rao, when she was shooting for Dhobi Ghaat.
Says a source, "Apparently, in Dhobi Ghaat there is a painting exhibition scene and Aamir is playing a painter. Aamir is there only for a few scenes.
When Kiran starting shooting for Dhobi Ghaat, she decided to put up at a flat in the crowded locality of Bhendi Bazar rather than commute from Bandra every day.
It was a four-day shoot but Aamir, being the protective husband decided to stay along with her. The apartment was in a very congested gully and quite inaccessible but Aamir and Kiran stayed at the simple yet well-furnished apartment quite comfortably and without a murmur."
The source adds, "It was also a novel way for Aamir to remain there and work on his character. Of course, there was heavy protection and Aamir's security guards were also there with Kiran and Aamir all the time.
The scenes were shot in utmost secrecy. Aamir gives himself fully to whatever he does whether it's his films or his personal life so even if it was for a few scenes he wanted to get into the skin of the character.
In his next release, Ghajini he has painstakingly built up his eight-pack abs."
