Mumbai: Suffers stomach ache; likely to be discharged today
Saif Ali Khan was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital, Bandra, yesterday for a stomach ailment.
Sources at the hospital said that the actor was suffering from abdominal pain and he had a stomach upset along with an intestinal infection. It is learnt that he is being treated by Dr Narendra Trivedi. They declined to give more details saying only that the star would be in the hospital for a few days.
Saif's mother Sharmila Tagore when asked if Saif was at Lilavati said curtly, "I have no idea."
Not to worry
Dinesh Vijan who has teamed up with Saif to float their production company, Illuminati Films, informs, "There is nothing to worry about. Saif had a stomach ache in the morning and was admitted to the hospital in the afternoon. It was a gastric problem. He is under observation for 24 hours and will be discharged from the hospital today. It was something that he had eaten."
The last time
Saif was hospitalised on Feburary 19, 2007 after he complained of chest pain. He was scheduled to perform at the Max Stardust Awards that night. The actor was rehearsing for his dance at for his show later that night, when he began experiencing acute chest pains and was rushed to Lilavati Hospital. He underwent angiography and vowed to quit smoking after he was discharged.
