Urmila Matondkar is all set to reprise the role of Kamini played by Simi Garewal in the original Karz.
If sources are to be believed then Urmila’s Kamini will bear a strong resemblance to the one essayed by Simi in Subhash Ghai’s film, not just in character but also looks.
A source reveals that the second half of the film nearing towards the climax will have Urmila sport a grey streak in her hair.
Grey’s temporary
“Director Satish Kaushik has discussed the idea with Urmila. Since Karzzzz is a remake it stays true to the original in terms of script and characterisation.
The original had Kamini in an older avtaar with streaks of grey, as she turns older when Rishi Kapoor is reincarnated.”
The source continues, “Similarly, Urmila too will sport a streak of grey. However, this won’t be for a major portion of the film. She will be seen with the grey for a short period in the second half.”
Producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series refused to speculate. “I cannot say anything at the moment. You will have to wait and watch.”
It is learnt that Urmila’s Kamini will be more glamourous than the one we saw in the original. “Urmila is all set to do a special dance number in the film. It’s not an item song but something more spectacular than that,” concludes the source.
