Though his two films, Aashayein starring John Abraham and 8 x10 with Akshay Kumar (both with Percept Picture Company) have yet to release, Nagesh Kukunoor has begun work on his next project, also to be produced by Percept.

The writer-director is presently in the midst of the pre-production as the film rolls next month. It is learnt that the shooting will be held in Rajasthan on a start-to-finish schedule with a bunch of newcomers.

A quickie

Says a source, "Nagesh wants to keep this film extremely hush-hush till it is ready to go on the floors. As he is shooting with newbies, he has decided to wrap it up as soon as possible in a single schedule."

Nagesh's associate Elahe Hiptoola confirms, "Nagesh is working on a new project. A formal announcement will be made shortly. That's all I can say now."

Adds the informer, "The film has been penned by Nagesh and deals with a subject which he is known for  a slice of real life. There is a working title but it is not being announced as it still has to be registered considering that its rights are with someone else. After having worked with stars in his last few films, Nagesh wants to work with fresh talent.

The movie will be shot at various locales of Rajasthan from August."

Incidentally, Nagesh extensively shot his Ayesha Takia-starrer Dor in Rajasthan as well.
