Nothing actually, and Arjun Sarja is all set to prove a point with his debut in Malayalam movies.
Vande Mataram, to be directed by debutant director Aravind, has been in the pipeline for quite some time now, but the film finally hits the floor in September.
With Malayalam films now in his bouquet, Sarja becomes the only actor down south to have played the lead role in all four languages.
Cop no more!
Vande Mataram is the story about the spread of terrorism across the country. Sarja will be seen again in a role of a law enforcer, but this time around he's a soldier!
"I will be playing a character called Anwar Hussain who is a soldier. I was told about the role while I was shooting for Swagatam. Since I am comfortable with action roles, I decided to take up the project. However this will be my first role as a soldier. I was also told that I would be starring opposite Mammooty, and that's a chance I wouldn't let go for any reason," says Sarja.
Busy hands
Besides Vande Mataram, Sarja has three more Tamil films up his sleeve.
He is also producing a Kannada film called Vayuputra, which will be directed by his brother Kishore Sarja.
"We've temporarily stalled the production as Kishore is not keeping very well these days.
We plan to shoot again sometime in November or December, this year. I have given all my dates for Vande Mataram, so until I am done with that project, I won't be shooting for anything else," says Arjun Sarja.
From Kapital to Kerala
Debutant director Aravind's Vande Mataram is finally hitting the floor. Shooting has been scheduled for the first few scenes that will be shot in and around the Parliament.
"Aravind has plans to shoot two action scenes at the Parliament. The scenes will play during the first few minutes of the film. There might not be a lengthy shoot and I'm sure we'll complete it in say, five days. The rest of the story will be shot in Kerala," says Arjun Sarja, Kannada producer and Tamil actor who makes his debut in the Malayalam industry.
