While Govinda, Celina Jaitly and others aren't promoting their latest release, Money Hai To Honey Hai, Hansikaa along with director Ganesh Acharya has been doing her bit for the Kumar Mangat produced flick.
All this activity took a toll on the young actress as she suffered a severe bout of viral fever. Says the young actress, "I was part of the film's promotions on four reality shows on various TV channels. As a few cast members are not promoting the film, I felt I had to do my bit."
This is Hansikaa's second film, after almost a year. Her debut was opposite Himesh Reshammiya in Aap Kaa Suroor. "Naturally, I am excited about my second Hindi film. It was all for the film, so it was okay to go the extra mile."
In Money Hai To Honey Hai, she plays a TV star who longs for a break in Bollywood. "I play the small screen industry's most famous bahu who is desperate to get into B-Town. She manages to secure the finance for producing her own film with a huge star cast."
Apart from the ailing actress, Manoj Bajpai and Upen Patel have done their wee bit for the film's promotions.
Apart from her Hindi film commitments, Hansikaa is also doing south films. She features in B Gopal's untitled Telugu film opposite Raam as well as the Tamil film Kantri. She recently won a major South film award as the Best Debutant for the Telugu film Desamuduru.
The actress, who is doing her International Baccalaureate programme at Podar International School, Santa Cruz, is determined to combine her studies with her acting pursuits.
