Mumbai:
main kahaan hoon? Vivek Oberoi in Mission Istaanbul
Even before the release of  Mission Istaanbul, it was common knowledge that Vivek Oberoi wasn't happy with how his role had shaped up.  The actor felt that co-star Zayed had gotten a better deal, while he'd been sidelined. And so, Vivek distanced himself from the film's promotional activities.

Unaware

However, the story doesn't end there. Vivek got another jolt when he learned that one of his solo songs - Apun Ke Saath Jo Bhi Ladega has been chopped from the film.

The actor hadn't seen the film before the release so he wasn't aware of the exclusion until it was brought to his notice. This is the same song that the actor performed to, at the IIFA. A source says, "This song was in the same mould as Aye Ganpat from Shootout...but the song is missing from the film."

It is learnt that Vivek was far more upset when he heard that Abhishek's item song in the film hade been retained while his solo song was cut. Says a source close to the actor, "VO spoke to Lakhia about it but he was told that the song was cut to retain the length of the film."

Lakhia is in the US for a family function and was unavailable for comment.

When contacted Sunil Shetty says, "It was only a music video and was never supposed to be in the film. We shot the song because Vivek insisted on it or we wouldn't have spent so much money shooting for it. He felt that he wasn't getting enough publicity. Let Vivek say on record that he's upset and then I will talk."
