Give me a voice!

Bangalore: Anthu Inthu Preeti Bantu has now already been shot, but team now has a bigger issue on their hands. Since the lead actor, Aditya Babu, does not know Kannada, the hunt is on for the perfect dubbing artist.

Director Veer Shankar says, "When we began shooting for the film, we did not foresee this as a problem. We have now finished shooting the entire film, as well as the songs, but now work is getting delayed because we have not found a voice that will suit our hero. Music director Rajesh Krishnan has met and tested over 35 voices for the job, but none seem to fit the bill. Now, we're planning to organise a talent hunt to find that voice."

The search is on

The search for a voice for a film is easily the first for the Kannada film industry. There have been a number of regular dubbing artistes who lend their voices to most of the superstars in the industry. Rumours say that Aditya Babu was not too keen on dubbing for himself as his Kannada diction is just not right. "I do not want to dub for myself as my own voice and diction could prove a drawback for the film. The crew had found a dubbing artist initially, but when I heard his voice, I found that it did not really suit me. Now there is going to be a full-fledged audition and I am going to be part of the selecting team. We will find the right guy soon," says Aditya Babu.

As for the lead actress Ramya, Deepu, who has lent her voice to the star for almost all her films, and will continue to do so for this film too.
