Director’s Call, Not Mine! Kangana Ranaut
Some actors are finicky about working with new stylists, designers and make-up artistes.  Kangana Ranaut is one
such actor.

She likes working with designer Rick Roy and recommends his name to every production house she signs a film with.

However in the upcoming Vishesh Films’ Raaz 2, it’s Rocky S who will design her costumes, following differences between Rick and the production house.

An agitated Rick confirms, “Initially, I was supposed to do Kangana’s clothes but due to differences with the production house, I backed out.”

It’s alright

He doesn’t regret walking out of the project but regrets not working for Kangana in the film. When asked if Kangana tried to hold him back for the film, he says, “She respected my decision.”

Rick is designing costumes for the actress in Fashion. “I must say Madhur is a wonderful director to work with and I am also excited about Ken Ghosh’s next where I am designing for Jiah Khan.”

Lax in tax

Mention Rick Roy to Mukesh Bhatt of Vishesh Films and he flies off the handle, “Rick is very immature and childish. He has no sense of tax laws. We are in this field since years and work in a certain manner and have to be answerable to the tax department. That idiot fails to understand the law and wants the purchases to be filed on his company’s letter head.”

He further adds, “We are making a high-profile movie and it’s a 100 crore deal with Sony. Because of our reputation and credibility, we have got such a deal. We have worked with top designers but I have never had such a bad experience with anyone.

Rick is an idiot. He even threatened us saying that he will go to media and shall tarnish our names if we kicked him out,” fumes Mukesh.

It is believed that Rocky S is being paid three times as much as Rick was being given for the film.”
When asked about Rick not doing her costumes Kangana simply says, “I leave these decisions to my director.”
