Kumar Mangat has signed his One Two Three (123) director Ashwani Dhir to start and finish three new films by the end of the year. That’s three films in nine months! Most films need at least a year to be made from inception to release.

However Mangat is confident he can pull it off, “I have signed Ashwani for an exclusive contract with my company. We are going to start and finish three films by this time next year. I am very happy with the outcome of 123.

I have been getting calls from actors who are saying that they want to work with him, and this only after seeing the promos. Ashwani has a good sensibility and the scripts for the three films we are planning are locked down. By next week I will announce the cast and other details. ”

Director Ashwani Dhir confirms the development, “Yes. I am committed to Kumar Mangat for three films. The next we intend to start in a few months’ time. If 123 becomes a decent hit at the box-office we plan to make a sequel titled 1234. All the films I plan to do will surely have a comic feel to them.”

Ajay, Abhishek and Kajol?

For his next, a Priyadarshan directorial, producer Kumar Mangat has signed Ajay Devgan, Kajol and Abhishek Bachchan. The film will go on the floors by the year-end as Ajay is busy with prior commitments as is Bachchan Jr.

Kumar Mangat says, “I have only Priyadarshan and Ajay signed for this particular subject as of now. Priyan and I are currently working on the script of the film and unless we finish scripting, we are not planning to sign anyone. It is a comedy and we intend to take the film on the floors later this year or early next year. ”
