You’ve seen the pug in commercials, now you can see him on the big screen. Anil Sharma’s next film titled Ramprasad with his brother Sanjay Sharma as director and younger brother Kapil Sharma as hero has a pug playing an important part. 

Initially, a labrador was selected but as there have not been pugs on the Hindi screen, it was decided to have this breed of the canine.

Says Kapil, “We wanted to use an animal as the central part of the film. Since a Doberman and other breeds have been used, we chose a pug and are calling it Ladoo.

Like Mr India

About the project, Kapil informs, “Ramprasad is a latter-day version of Mr India. The film is about a simple guy who gets empowered the moment he wears an accessory. The special effects will be far more better than Mr India. The storyline also includes a dog who goes through the same transformation.”

The film will be shot in 3D format and the pug can talk as well as fly. Not just that the film will also have a female pug to bring in the love angle!

“We must thank Hrithik Roshan for giving us our first superhero Krrish and now we are all set to gift our kids a desi version of Pluto!” adds producer Anil Sharma.

A female lead for the film is yet to be finalised.
