India: Shoots for an Airtel commercial with Saif and Kareena
Amrita Arora is the latest celebrity to join the Airtel 'come home to the stars' campaign. Amu recently shot for the commercial with A R Rahman, Saif and Kareena. Though she hasn't been riding high on the endorsement bandwagon, Amu is happy that she got to work with her BFF and with Saif.
A chance to bond
Talking about it, she says, "I have done commercials in the past, but am having a blast doing this one. It's also a great way to catch up with Kareena. We have been travelling and shooting, so the two of us didn't get to spend time together. Doing this commercial, gave us both an opportunity to bond."
Amu's look in the campaign is very close to what she sports in real life. "Aparna Chandra has done my styling. I've got a lot of compliments for my look in Golmaal Returns. Since I have been working out, people appreciated the toned look and the bespectacled look also went down well."
How does she feel about not being a part of the promotional campaign for GR? "That's not true. I did do my part of the promotion. Also all the talk about me being unhappy about the role was rubbish. All of us knew right from the start what our roles would be. I am happy that the film has done so well."
While her next release will be Sajid Nadiadwala's Kambakht Ishq, Amu has signed a new UTV film. "It's called Season's Greetings directed by Vikram Chopra. It also has Tabu and Shreyas Talpade and the script is really good. I will be leaving for Cape Town for its schedule soon. This will be my first time in Cape Town and I'm looking forward to it."
