India: Emraan doesn't wants to be part of three-film PPC deal
Emraan Hashmi has backed out of his three-film deal with Percept Picture Company. The buzz is that he is unhappy with the outcome of their first film together Raftaar also starring Sagarika Ghatge.
A source reveals, "Raftaar was a big-budget movie directed by Shamim Desai. It was extensively shot in foreign locales. The entire cast and crew was in Malaysia shooting for a month. They were to return to shoot another song but due to budget restraints, decided to shoot the song in Goa."
Not the same thing
The source continues, "Emraan is unhappy because there's a huge difference between the narration he was given, and the way the film has shaped up. Also now that the budget has been slashed and the location changed, Hashmi has refused to shoot the song in Goa. He is disappointed with the first film from the production house and wants to back out from the three-film deal with them."
Won't promote it
The disgruntled serial kisser is not even promoting the movie. Raftaar is a fast-paced film based on the media. The cast was taken to Maldives, before the shoot, for a 'familiaration trip,' the cost of that alone was Rs 1.5 crore.
Shailendra Singh Jt MD, Percept Ltd says, "Please check with Emraan, the movie is ready and is looking really good."
A source close to Emraan says, "Emraan will complete the film." When quizzed about backing out of the deal, the source adds, "He had problems with dates as there was some internal glitch at Percept and now they need new dates but Emi is busy with Raaz. There was a debate on the location of the shoot of a song. Percept has moved it to Goa while Emraan felt that it should be shot in Maldives since that was required."
