calling it quits: Raj Babbar and Ravi Chopra

Raj Babbar backed out at the last minute from Ravi Chopra's Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai as he didn't like the role offered to him.

A source from the unit reveals, "Mr Babbar and Ravi Chopra are really close and the actor accepted the offer to do a cameo wherein he will be playing a lawyer. Raj was supposed to shoot the scene along with Govinda on October 8. Raj was in Delhi when Ravi called him and asked him to be a part of the movie."

The source further adds, "Raj came down to Mumbai on October 7 and was given the script. The next day, the set was put up at Film City and costumes were in place. The entire cast and crew was waiting for Babbar, but he didn't show up."

The source reveals, "Raj Babbar read the script and didn't like it. He called up Ravi Chopra and told him that he wouldn't be able to do the movie for some personal reasons, and backed out from the movie at the last minute."

The movie stars Govinda as a lawyer and Boman Irani as a judge. It also includes Tabu, Lara Dutta and Rajpal Yadav.

Says Ravi Chopra, "It's better if you speak to Raj Babbar and find out the details."
