Rakesh Roshan's Kites directed by Anurag Basu and starring Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori will be released in both English and Hindi. The film, which also stars Kangana Ranaut, has Hrithik and Barbara speak in dialects the two don't understand.
Sources reveal that the film shot in New Mexico in the US, will have not just Spanish but many other languages as well. The theme revolves around communicating and expressing oneself despite not speaking a common language.
A source reveals that even though there's mimimal dialogue, most of it is not Hindi but Spanish, French, Filipino and other dialects. The film will have subtitles.
Very little Hindi
"Kites is the first mainstream Bollywood film which doesn't have Hindi as the main language. It's being shot in Hollywood style with the use of subtitles. The film is also being shot in English for the international audience."
Apparently, Barbara who was completely alien to Hindi can speak and understand a few phrases after interacting with Hrithik and other actors. "She speaks Spanish and Portuguese, but now can also say a few basic Hindi lines," adds the source.
