Sssh... men at work!

Bangalore:

 Picture perfect:  Sanjana and Arya

Sri, a debutant director, is a a brave man. In an industry that thrives on recycling formula films, he has chosen to do things differently.

After spending months at the drawing board, he came up with the plot of Ee Sanje.  The film is about the organ transplant racket that rocked the country, and Bangalore in particular, recently.

Considering that few film makers in the Kannada industry actually spend time and money on research, Sri belongs to a rare species.

Real or revolting?

His attention to detail puts him in the same league as Suri, whose film Duniya was a hit because the audience could identify with the story.

Strong script

"I have spent weeks reading up on the subject and talking to people to understand the way the kidney scam was pulled off. Today's audience is very intelligent. You can't fool them with a shoddy script. If you are making a film on a subject that concerns the common man, you need to do a lot of homework. In my case, I spoke to doctors, volunteers in NGOs, nurses and ayahs in both government and private hospitals to get a proper perspective," he explains.

Ee Sanje has Arya and Sanjana in the lead roles. Is it a tragedy? "Wait and watch," is Sri's rehearsed reply.
