After the disastrous collections of Mission Istaanbul, there were reports that Ekta Kapoor and Apoorva had a fall-out. However, everything between them seems to be sorted out now and Lakhia will soon be directing another film for Balaji Motion Pictures.

Apoorva says, "There was never a fallout with Ekta. She is a friend. I don't know where those rumours came from. I am doing another film for Sunil Sir and Balaji. We are working on the script and subject."

Action!

The director who has not been in the country elaborates, "The working title is Gen X, and it will be an action drama.

Currently, I am working on this other film that has Sohail Khan and Malaika Arora."
 
Lakhia's next will be produced by Sohail Maklai and is about the inner world of two families from the underworld. 

Ekta adds, "We are doing Gen X with Apu. The confusion whether he's doing the film or not arose because there were two versions (scripts) and today we are doing the other version that is younger and fresher.

Balaji is not a production house that will leave a director if he gives a flop.
 
Apu is a very competent director and we should start work on Gen X in the next three months."
