SAME, same but different: Yash and Biyanka Desai

Can a Bollywood film title really work for a Kannada film? Director, K Nagendra Urs seems ready to put that theory to the test.

The director, has named his film, Rocky, after the Bollywood hit of the 80s.
The original film directed by Sunil Dutt, starred Tina Munim and Reena Roy, and also marked the debut of Dutt's son, Sanjay Dutt, into the film industry.

Rumour has it

"Even after so many years, many new releases continue to have elements that have been picked up from that 80s movie," says Nagendra.

"But in our version of Rocky, except for the title we haven't used a single element from the original," adds Nagendra.

"Rumours about our film being a remake of the Bollywood hit are absolutely untrue," says the director, emphatically.

... except for the title we haven't used a single element from the original. Rumours about our film being a remake of the Bollywood hit are absolutely untrue.
