An indulgent VO pampers his three-year-old nephew, after the tot loses a race in his first-ever Annual Sports Day

Last week, Vivek Oberoi requested his Prince director Kookie Gulati to postpone the shoot from a morning schedule to an afternoon one because he wanted to attend his cousin brother's three-year old son Aditya Vardhan Oberoi's first-ever Annual Sports Day.

Adi was participating in a race. VO wanted to be there to cheer his nephew.

Making it special

Sadly, the little boy lost the race. Says a source close to the actor, "After the race ended, Vivek rushed onto the field and hugged the little boy.

They shared a very emotional moment. Adi was sad and VO  wanted to make it up to him in a very special way."  Interestingly, Vivek studied in the same school as the little boy Bessant Montessori in Juhu.

On Sunday, Vivek called his whole family home and ordered all Adi's favourite goodies and  pampered him. "Adi loves riding on motorbikes so Vivek asked a friend to come over with his bike and took him out for a spin."

After that they went to a toy store and the actor bought  him a remote-controlled chopper and a toy Mercedes.

When asked about his day out with his nephew, Oberoi says, "Life in Bollywood moves so fast that you need something to hold you.

My family is my emotional anchor. Family time gives me my much-needed dose of balance, bliss and inner peace. Watching Adi grow is a precious gift that I wouldn't miss for anything in the world!"

What's Prince about?

Kumar Taurani's Prince is set in Durban and revolves around the search for a rare gold coin.

It also stars British actress Aruna Shields (had acted in Jagmohan Mundhra's Private Moments) who will make her Bollywood debut when Prince is released in March next year.
