Actors prefer to work with big directors and established banners. But Arshad Warsi has agreed to work in Rohit Shetty's chief assistant director Raminder Singh (Rami) Suri's directorial debut.

Not slapstick

It will be a comedy movie. Rami has worked on funny films Golmaal and Golmaal Returns before, and not only comfortable with the genre but is confident he can deliver the goods.  Rami's debut film isn't a slapstick comedy and they are on the lookout for a fresh face opposite Warsi. The movie will be going on floors in June."

A source reveals, "Rami met Arshad during the making of Golmaal and told the actor that he was working on a script and would like him to be part of the project. The actor promised to hear the script. After the release of Golmaal Returns, the actor and Suri bumped into each other and that's when he reminded the actor of his promise."

The next day Arshad met up with Rami and heard the entire script in detail with the screenplay. Arshad loved the script and immediately said yes to it."

The first-time director is very close to Rohit Shetty, who has been guiding him along. Rami will continue to assist Rohit. Arshad admits, "Yes I have heard the script and have liked it a lot. I am surely a part of the movie.
