Mori had no time for Aishwarya even though they were staying in the same hotel in Cannes!
Barbara Mori may have warmed up to everyone at the media meet for Kites at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival. However, the same cannot be said about her encounter with Aishwarya Rai.
Both the actresses were staying at Hotel Martinez at Cannes. While Mori was put up with the Kites team, Ash was with hubby Abhishek Bachchan and had arrived to walk the red carpet for a cosmetics brand.
Hrithik mila, Barbara nahin
Sources reveal that when Ash learnt that Barbara and Hrithik were staying in the same hotel, she desired to exchange pleasantries with both of them. While she managed to meet and greet her Jodhaa Akbar co-star, it wasn't so with Barbara.
A source reveals, "Ash had heard about the Mexican actress. When she met Hrithik, she wanted to give her good wishes to Barbara too. However, when the Bachchan bahu met the Kites actress, the meeting wasn't the warmest thing the hotel experienced."
Hi and bye!
The source continues, "When Ash met Barbara, the latter just said a hello and said that she had to rush for an event."
Sources reveal that Barbara didn't want to come across as rude, but since her interaction with B-Town actors has been limited, she really doesn't know who is who. "Barbara hasn't had the chance to really get to know the big actors in Bollywood. Even though she knew who Ash was, she didn't come across gracious enough to take time off and exchange pleasantries. Hrithik later met Ash and explained why Barbara couldn't give her much time," adds the source.
If Ash can, why not Mori?
Barbara Mori asked for a Cavali dress for the Cannes film festival red carpet after she realised that Aishwarya Rai was wearing the same designer. The Kites actress was to wear a Mexican designer but later changed her mind. |
