Vishal Bharadwaj was so desperate to sign Hrithik for his movie that he even delayed it for this actor.
Vishal is all set for a Bollywood remake of Martin Scorsese's The Departed which created waves at the Oscars. According to the latest buzz, he has signed Hrithik to play a defying role, done by Leonardo DiCaprio in the original film.
The movie being a dark thriller will be shot at an apt location in Mumbai. And just like Leo, Hrithik will play an undercover cop in the movie. According to sources, Hrithik has to be fully fit by the time movie starts to roll. Currently he is suffering through knee damage and has been presaged to not to indulge in any kind of dicey stunts. Also, he has been asked of taking special classes from professionals in order to perform martial arts and gun totting scenes.
Though Hrithik is finalized; the actor who will play the role of another important character, played by Matt Damon is not yet known.
Apart from being tipped as an American epic tragedy, The Departed won four awards at the 79th Academy Awards. Well, now, its time to see how Vishal deduces the film in an Indian locale.
