RGV's Raktha Charitra to be released in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil

After a decade-long hiatus, Ram Gopal Varma will direct a Telugu film. He made the last film in his mother tongue - Prema Katha - way back in '99. But after, that he attention was focused on Hindi career.
Many of RGV's Hindi films have been dubbed in the Telugu language and in some cases done far better business than original version.

Role play
His next film Rakhta Charitra will be made simultaneously in three languages - Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. This is the first time in his career that he is going for a tri-lingual as well.  Rakhta Charitra is based on the life of a famous politician from Andhra.

Ramu feels if he tells the man's story in his language, it will have a far better chance of success." The Hindi version stars Vivek Oberoi and south superstar Suriya. The Telugu and Tamil versions feature Pradeep (son of a famous Telugu director Raviraja) and Suriya.

The film will go on the floors later this month and will be releasing in two separate parts three weeks apart. Madhu Mantena produces all versions.

Teen to tango
Ram Gopal Varma confirms, "The film is being shot in three languages - Hindi, Telugu and Tamil with three different sets of actors. Also the film is being made in two parts - Rakta Charitra I and II and they are going to be released three weeks apart from each other. I take the films on sets by the 10th of this month."
