Priyadarshan is reportedly planning to cast Aamir Khan and Tabu opposite each other in a 95 minute realistic film based on AIDS. Here's a little dope on the National Award winning actress who's not been seen in major role since Cheeni Kum:

>> Tabassum (Tabu) Hashmi began her career with Hum Naujawan (1985). She was 15 then and played the role of Dev Anand's daughter.
>> In 1987, Boney Kapoor signed Tabu opposite Sanjay Kapoor in Prem. The movie took eight years in the making, but didn't last even eight days the box office.
>> Tabu hit a jackpot in 1996 with eight releases in that one single year. Macchis was one of the films for which she won her first National Award for Best Actress.
>> In 1997, Tabu won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance in Virasat.
>> Her second National Award for Best Actress came in 2001 with her role in Madhur Bhandarkar directed film Chandni Bar.
>> In 2003, Tabu starred as Nimmi in Maqbool, an adaptation of William Shakespeare's Macbeth. It premiered at the 2003 Toronto International Film Festival.
>> She made her Hollywood debut in Mira Nair's The Namesake in 2007.
