The hit film 'Abhiyum Nanum' in Tamil, which was 'Akasham Antha' in Telugu, is seeing a remake in Kannada as 'Naanu Nanna Kanasoo'. Prakash Rai has roped in Ramya to play the lead role for the film. She plays the role of his daughter. This is Prakash Rai directorial debut into the Kannada film industry.

HANDSHAKE: Hamsalekha with Prakash Rai | 'Naanu Nanna Kanasoo' is produced by Duet Movies and Media House Studio headed by B Suresh. The strong rebel to remake films B Suresh and Hamsalekha are now working for a remake film. Arun Sagar is foreseeing the art direction; Ananth Urs is the cameraman for this Kannada version that will hit the silver screens this November.
"I feel the need to express to the Kannada audience. It is like me writing a letter to my daughter," says Prakash Rai on his recent Kannada film project.
"The Tamil film has taken a complete new image, with changes made to make the transformation from the Tamil background to that of Kodava culture and tradition. It is this change, which brings me here," says music director, Hamsalekha. Watch out this space for more on Prakash Rai.
