Shilpa's Favourte Recipe: Corn Pulao/Chicken Pulao
Ingredients
1 glass basmati rice (soak it for 15 minutes)
1 onion (chopped long)
2 Cinnamon sticks
2 Bay leaves
5 cloves
3 nutmeg
1 tbsp garam masala powder
1 tsp jeera powder
1 tsp dhania powder
¼ tsp pepper
¼ tsp red chilli powder
3 cardamoms
½ Corn tin
1 vegetable stock cube for flavor (for chicken, chicken cube for flavor)
Vegetable oil
Method
Sauté all ingredients. Fry onions till light brown in colour. Now add corn and spices. Add the rice and 2 glasses water and stock cubes that have been dissolved in three tablespoons of warn water. Add ¼ tbsp ghee and cover the vessel for 15 minutes. Cook on medium gas. Add salt to taste (the stock cubes will have salt content).
For chicken pulao, marinate chicken with ginger-garlic paste, salt and curds. Use chicken instead of corn and follow the recipe as above.
