Is the official reason for casting Soha in a Shreyas Talpade production
PS: Shreyas and Soha's beau Kunal Khemu are good friends

Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Khemu's bonding on the sets of Rohit Shetty's Golmaal 3 ended up with a role for Soha Ali Khan in Chemistry. The film is being co-produced by Shreyas.

Both the actors met on the sets of G3 and got along instantly. During breaks, the Iqbal actor would often relate his production plans and the movie's storyline to Soha's beau. And ultimately when the project rolled, he could only think of her in the role!

Says a source, "When Kunal and Shreyas spent considerable amount of time together on the G3 sets, it would end up being a session of discussing Chemistry. He would dwell upon the various characters in detail and as they got talking, Shreyas felt Soha fitted the role."

Shreyas' spokesperson however maintains, "The casting for the film has been done solely on the basis of who suits the role and not due to personal reasons."

Chemistry marks the directorial debut of writer Sai Kabir who has penned Lamhaa and Kismet Konnection. The project, which also stars Shreyas, is a romantic comedy about the chemistry between a girl with high ambitions and the boy-next-door who has a penchant for kulfis.

Shreyas recently floated his production banner Affluence Movies. He had earlier produced the Marathi film Sanai Chaughade which was backed by Subhash Ghai's Mukta Arts banner.
