The popular show will go on air after IPL 3 ends

After four successful seasons, Indian Idol will return to Sony Entertainment Television. The auditions will be held next month in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. Registrations have already begun, but the show is expected to air only after Indian Premier League 3 ends in April-May. The IPL 3 matches too will be aired on Sony.

While the channel is trying hard to get more registrations, by including previous winners in its promotional campaigns, it is yet to finalise its judges. So far, Anu Malik is the only one signed up as a judge for the show.

Meanwhile, producers Miditech have now made way for Wizcraft on Sony's insistence. Miditech had produced the first four seasons of Indian Idol.
