Will create bold content with new production house.
Ekta Kapoor has found a way to enter the world of risque cinema without making her audience who follow her traditional serials feel cheated. She is now going to launch a new production house to make films and TV serials with bold content. It will be called Alt Entertainment.
According to Ekta, the move will solve the problem of looking at grey issues without risking her established brands Balaji Telefilms and Balaji Motion Pictures. Ekta's team intends to experiment with and create content that does not match the image of these production houses. Releasing the new content through these brands would be risking audience's complete rejection of the brands. That's where Alt Entertainment comes in. The new house will also have an Internet division to connect with its viewers.
