There is no escaping the Censor Board’s hawk eyes! And Sudhir Mishra recently had to bear the brunt of the board’s decision to award an ‘A’ certificate to the promo of his upcoming film starring Arjun Rampal and Chitrangada Singh.

A certain sequence from the film had apparently prompted the board members to finalise on the ‘A’ certificate. However, to make sure the rating did not affect the film’s business, Sudhir had to re-dub the promo and let go of the controversial sentence. Finally, the promo received a ‘U’ rating.

Having an ‘A’ certificate would mean that the promo could not run on TV channels till late in the night. A source says, “In the promo, Chitrangadha asks Arjun Rampal, ‘Agar mein tumhare saath so jayungi to sab theek ho jayega?’ The board had an objection to this line. And hence the ‘A’.”

‘So jayungi’ was then altered to ‘Adjust karungi’ and the promo was then passed. Currently, the film has two promos the adult one for night viewing and the regular promo will be on air all day. The producers of the film remained unavailable for comment.
