A bitchy actress from Juhu called to say that the Khiladi is pinning a lot of hope on his film with Paresh Rawal that takes on blind beliefs and rituals. He was keen that the film release first. The star felt that after Rowdy Rathore he should continue his success streak with it.

Akki wanted Shirish’s film to release only after September-end when his co-production with Paresh is due. But Shirish was in no mood to relent as Joker had already been delayed. And that was one of the reasons why Akki turned his back on the project.
