The entire team of Ajay Devgn’s upcoming Diwali release was in for a pleasant surprise when an unexpected guest arrived on the sets at Patiala. It was none other than Shatrughan Sinha, the father of the film’s lead actress Sonakshi.

A source from the unit says, “Sona was feeling very homesick as she has been having a hectic schedule thanks to constant film promotions and outdoor shooting schedules. Hearing this, doting father Shatrughan decided to go to Patiala and surprise his daughter in the middle of her shoot. Sonakshi is very close to her father. But due to work commitments and hectic work schedule she was unable to spend time lately with her family.”

Apparently after daddy arrived, Sona’s happiness knew no bounds. The source adds, “Shatruji was very gracious and also spent time with Ajay and everyone else on the sets. He was in a very good mood and was cracking jokes. He also saw some of the scenes that Sonakshi had shot for.”
