Cash, CCTV hard disk stolen from the Andheri office of the AMPTPP
The members of the Association of Motion Pictures and TV Programme Producers (AMPTPP) were in for a rude shock on Thursday morning when they were informed about a theft that was carried out at the office's premises in the wee hours of the day
Apart from Rs 21,000 in cash, a hard disk of a CCTV camera had also been stolen. A police case has now been registered to investigate the theft at its Andheri office. The main suspect in the case is a peon, who is apparently absconding.
An insider says, “It was Gokulashtmi and the office was open during the night for a small ceremony. An employee, who had been working here since the past two months is suspected to have carried off the cash and the security equipment. We have registered a case with the Oshiwara police station and the hunt is on for the thief.”
Vikas Mohan, vice president of the association says, “Thankfully, there was not too much cash lying around. But the thief appears to be professional as he managed to pinch the hard disk as well. We are still trying to figure out what exactly we have lost.” Sajid Nadiadwala, president of the association, says, “Yes, we are still investigating the matter.”
