Screenwriter Kelly Marcel told the Sunday Times in an interview that there is going to be a lot of sex in the movie, the New York Post reported.  She said that the movie was going to be rated NC-17 and was going to be raunchy.

The 38-year-old British scribe, who was tapped by Universal Pictures and Focus Features to translate the erotic best-seller for the big screen, was holed up for 10 days in a hotel room alongside E L James, “poring” over the BDSM world of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

She said that she had decided to stay as true to the illicit content as possible, but not every sex scene had made the cut.
