Time to get rid of bad breath

Mumbai: Do your colleagues turn their faces away while talking to you? If yes, we'll solve the mystery behind their seemingly strange behaviour. The reason is your mouth stinks real bad and you really can't hide it. And believe us, nothing can be a bigger turn off than bad breath. So, here's a list of things that can help you get rid of the problem:

Never forget to clean your tongue
One of the best ways to get rid of bad breath is to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner after brushing. Do this daily, it reduces bad breath to a great extent.

Eat yogurt
Eating plain yogurt a day decreases bad breath. If you don't like plain yogurt, add an artificial sweetener to it but avoid using sugar

Choose the right mouthwash
Most mouthwashes contain alcohol, which keep your mouth dry. So, opt for a non-alcoholic mouthwash and use it on a daily basis after brushing

Eat veggies
Carrots, apples, melons or anything with more of vitamin A and C is good to avoid bad breath

Drink tea
Tea contains compounds that can slow the growth of bad-breath. It doesn't matter what kind of tea green, black, white, hot or cold, they all work wonders

Pop a mint
Never starve for long hours. Even if you do, make sure you have a mint in your mouth. You could also chew parsley after a meal to stimulate saliva production which is good to avoid bad breath

Stay hydrated
Drink at least six to eight glasses of water a day. Remember, when you are dehydrated, you produce less saliva due to which your mouth remains dry which in turn gives out bad breath
