size matters: Actor Sudhanshu Pandey shows off his spacious living room

From the pristine hills of Nainital to Mumbai, it has been an interesting journey for actor Sudhanshu Pandey. The highlight of this journey has been the proud ownership of a 2,000 sq ft 3BHK flat in Yamuna Nagar, Andheri (W). Sudhanshu shares with us his home-buying and settling in experience:

The house-hunt... It was while house-hunting for a friend that I came upon this apartment three years back. It actually belonged to none other than actor Saif Ali Khan.
What caught my attention were the huge windows and the light and breeze that came in through them. I decided I had to have it right there and then!

Doing it up... My wife, Mona and I have done up the entire place ourselves and cherish each and every detail that has gone into making it special. I hail from a place where space is taken for granted, but that is not so here. I'd made up my mind about furnishing this place with only the absolutely essential things.
I have been in Mumbai for 12 years now and appreciate breathing space wherever I find it. No paintings or tapestry mar the white walls in my home.

Decor planning... The main focus while designing the interiors was on simplicity. From the flooring to the upholstery, the theme is extremely minimal and the colour scheme is white and beige.
The split level living room in particular was more fun doing up, and though we spent a bomb installing Italian marble, we have never regreted it. Every paisa gone into my home is worth it. It is centrally located and is yet well away from the crowds. So I get the best of both worlds.

My favourite spot... It is my bedroom, as this is where I lounge while watching TV after a hard day's work at the studios. My apartment is on the 14th floor and I feel it has strong positive energies. Every friend and relative who have visited have felt it and they truly love our place.
