No particular reason, except that it's a treasure trove of benefits that can help your body, hair, skin and nails.
Vitamins A: good for the skin and growth. D: strengthens bones by raising calcium absorption. E: protects cells from oxidation. B1: helps properly release energy from carbohydrates. B2: helps release energy from protein and fat. B6: promotes the metabolism of protein. B12: an essential vitamin in the formation of nerve fibers and blood cells.
Minerals Iron: essential in the creation of red blood cells. Zinc: For enzyme stability. Calcium: Strengthens bones and teeth. Iodine: controls thyroid hormones. Selenium: protects cells from oxidation.
How can any food with a string of benefits, like you just saw, be bad for health? And yet, the egg has been rammed by experts for its fat content and effect on cholestrol levels. Cholesterol is not necessarily bad. We need it to maintain cell walls. What raises blood cholestrol is saturated fat, but eggs contain mostly polyunsaturated fat, which can actually lower blood cholesterol if one replaces food containing saturated fat with eggs.
Avoid eating the yolk if you have weak heart

How to eat eggs Yes, there's actually a method! Don't eat more than 2 eggs a day, if on a low-fat diet. Egg yolk is mainly fat, so even though it doesn't raise blood cholesterol levels, it can cause other problems if you OD.
If you like your eggs fried or scrambled, use olive oil with low to medium temperatures.
If you are going to eat cooked eggs, make sure you eat them with a generous portion of vegetables. Eggs do not contain fiber. So, when eaten alone, they can lead to constipation. But there is the danger of a raw egg being infected with bacteria.
It may sound eeky, but try eating raw eggs, that are healthier than cooked ones. They are so easily assimilated into your blood, that they don't leave anything in your intestines to contribute to constipation.
Egg on your face, is not always a bad thing
Out-of-kitchen masks for dry and oily skin Oily skin: Add egg white and 1 teaspoon each of yogurt and honey to 4 teaspoons of oatmeal. Mix and apply on your face. Wash after 30 minutes.
Dry skin: Mix 2 teaspoons choker (wheat bran) with 1 teaspoon each of almond meal, egg yolk, yogurt and honey. Apply on your face and wash after 15 minutes.
Open pores: Mix egg white with oatmeal and apply on the areas with open pores. Wash when dry.
Effective at-home packs for glowing skin in minutes For dry skin: Mix one teaspoon each of honey and egg yolk, and apply on your face. Wash with water after 20 minutes. It helps to relieve dryness and softens the skin. For oily skin:
Mix egg white with honey and apply on your face. Lemon juice can also be added. It helps cleanse the skin and reduce oiliness. Wash after 20 minutes.
