While buying a home, a person should have a clear idea about the title of the property. A buyer should find out whether the proposed project has been approved by the local municipal corporation or not.

There are numerous instances when buyers have unknowingly bought houses in illegal constructions only to suffer later on. This is especially true in case of suburbs like Mira Road, Nalasopara, Virar, etc.

The reputation of the builder also matters, so don't buy property from any Tom, Dick and Harry.

Besides, the buyer should check whether the locality is self-sufficient in terms of basic infrastructure like electricity, water supply, schools and hospitals.

Space is a major issue with all buyers. While buying a flat people must think about their space requirements for the next five-ten years. It may happen that a buyer may have to stretch his/her budget to buy a bigger home at that period but the effort is fully worth it in the long term.
