Gals… it's high time you dumped your plain black eyeliner and opened your eyes to interesting colours like baby blue, indigo, green, violet and copper available in the market to glam up your eyes. Here's some dope on them:
* "Blue eyeliners are hot especially colours like deep navy or electric blue. They look cool both in the day and night. You can sport it when you are dressed casually or at evening events," says a spokesperson from Bourjois.  Eyeshadows in shades of blue as well as light pink look good over a blue eyeliner. 
* The green eyeliner is a rage too. It comes in shades like dark green, fluorescent and khaki green. Blue and green are too colours that go well with the Indian skin tone. Try wearing brown, copper or golden eyeshadow over a green eyeliner. 
* Purple is another hot favourite. "Purple looks good on fair skin but the colour is a little outfit specific," says the Bourjois representative. Light purple or silver eyeshadow looks cool with purple eyeliner. 
* Jewel colours like gold, copper and bronze go well on dusky complexions. Avoid wearing shadow if you are sporting metallic shades in the day. Having said that, don't make the mistake of sporting these shades to office or you'll be taken for an Amazonian goddess. These shades are great for evening parties and dinner functions.
* Coloured eyeliners are available in liquid, pencil and soft pencil form. Liquid as well as pencil eyeliners come in matte as well as shimmering colours. 
* Brands like Maybelline, Clarins, Lancome, Revlon, etc have eyeliners in a variety of vibrant colours !

Points to remember 
* Try and keep your makeup neutral or light when you are sporting coloured eyeliners
* Don't try to match the colour of your eyeliner with your mascara. Sport blue mascara with blue eyeliner and you will look straight from the circus.  Keep your mascara black, brown or transparent
* If you have beady eyes, stay away from the harsh black coloured liners and opt for brown or blue instead as they will make your eyes look bigger
