Is there any truth when they say that you shouldn't have a mirror in a bedroom? Do mirrors disturb the vastu of a room?

Yes this is true. A mirror that faces the bed is not good as it reflects the energies when sleeping, resulting in a restless sleep. If you cannot avoid placing it in front of the bed, then it should at least be placed above the waist height in the bedroom. Also, mirrors should not be hung on the South or West wall at all.

We are thinking of buying a plot in Alibaug, but people staying in the locality say that it is not a good one. Rumours have it that a decade ago someone was buried there and so the plot never got sold. The price is not bad and it is ideal to build a vacation home. We are in a fix and don't understand what should our next step be.

Plots with buried humans or animals create geopathic stresses. If we can trace the spot of these burials we can use geopathic reversers and block these negative energies. The other option is to use the dowsing devices to detect the range of influence and then build the house away from the negative zone. You can create a garden in the infected patch. So buy the property and make these changes. 
 
I have recently purchased a house and am in the process of getting the interiors done. My wife says that one of her relatives insists that the locker in our wardrobe should face in a particular direction. And so, now the ongoing debate is on deciding where the wardrobe/closet should be placed. Please guide me, as I don't want to go wrong with money matters.

Ideally lockers should face North or East, but the location of their placement is also important. If you want a saving money locker, it should be kept in the Southwest corner of the room; if you want rotative money, which can be invested to grow, the locker should be kept in the Northeast zone of the bedroom.
 
We have almost found our dream house. However, the 2BHK flat has one bedroom whose walls converge to form a corner. My friend who had come with us for the viewing said that he's heard that such niches are unhealthy for the family living in that house. Is this true? And is there a solution to this or should we keep our hunt going?

Niches in Northeast and Southwest directions are not good, as they form a cut in the cosmic and telluric zones. The effect of this can be weak mental peace and financial troubles. Niches in any other direction are not a problem. But if you have them in the Northeast and Southwest corner, there are solutions to make the room uniform and rectangular. Also, cosmic symbols can be used to create an energy boundary.
