If you want to get the art deco look in your home, use colours like ochre, cinnamon, bright chocolate, dusky pink, mauve, etc, on your walls.

Nowadays, many people are using shades of reds, wines, purple and lime green in the more casual areas of their homes, say the balcony or veranda.

Colours add a lot of mood to your house. However, remember that too many colours in the same room can look tacky.

So try and use shades from the same colour pallette. Don't inhibit yourself from experimenting with your wall colours
