STORE REVIEW

Deep neck, high waist georgette dress. Rs 13,500

Here is a store for every teen who wants to keep up with the hottest trends. But with a scarf costing around Rs 4,000, we are not sure, if they'll be able to afford it. This monsoon, designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock have launched Spendthrift, a boutique selling prêt (read affordable) garments at Juhu.

The collection: It's a range of glamorous and feminine dresses that carry a hint of the couture charm. The line has a Gothic tinge, with fleeting motifs of skeletons and crosses. On sale are dresses, skirts, tops, blouses and scarves in colours eye catching pinks, reds and yellows, in fluid silk, net and georgette fabrics with funky details including pom-poms, trinkets and brooches.

The designers: The couple are called the desi Roberto Cavalli thanks to their fascination for animal print and over-the-top embellishments, including plumes and feathers.

At Lakmé Fashion Week: Spendthrift is scheduled to participate at Lakmé Fashion Week on October 20, where a Spring/Summer collection will be unveiled before Indian and international buyers and the media.

At: Spendthrift, Shop No. 6, Velencia building, Juhu Tara Road, Juhu.
