The lilting French music gave us an indication of what to expect classy, elegant evening wear, but not in the drab classic sense. Instead of sticking to muted colours, young Mumbai designer Nachiket dared to go to a place less travelled, and dished out cocktail dresses and gowns that were bold and beautiful. Fabric: He used raw silk and organza, and the feel was absolutely luxurious. There were even bits and pieces of chiffon and georgette thrown in.
The collection started off with chalk and ecru, but then one by one, the colours popped. Mango, sap green, fuchsia and purple filled the show area, and made us desperately wish we were standing in front of the Eiffel Tower, all prepped up to go a ball.
What we loved was a blue and green cocktail dress, with a pattern that resembled a floral ink spill. The formal pink spring coat was another piece that caught our eye.

Nobody noticed Saif's ex girlfriend
Arriving in a rickety, black Ford Fiesta was Saif Ali Khan's ex Rosa Catalano.
Most seasoned fashionistas arrive fashionably late, but this wannabe was one-and-a-half hour early for Gayatri Khanna's show. After taking almost 15 minutes to emerge from the car, she stood alone in the lobby, waiting for somebody to notice her.
