So, is there really a connection between romance, sunsets and the beach? Yes, believe relationship experts, but the location is just a slice of the pie. An ethereal setting, and loaded wallet are hardly the prerequisites here. It's what you do, that counts.
So, what's the most romantic thing a couple can do? Here's what experts, celebs and our readers revealed.
Dance for love
Choreographer Sandip Soparrkar says, the most romantic thing for a couple to do is dance the tango, or the rumba, by the beach. Both dance styles are sensuous, demand close contact and give you the chance to express your love and lust for each other. Besides, what better setting than a beach to unwind?
UK survey results:
Cuddling in the car while watching the sun go down has been voted the most romantic thing for a couple to do. 34% of the 1,000 people interviewed, said candle-light dinners were most likely to lead to lovemaking.
8% opted for sharing a bubble bath.
The range of stunning colours displayed in a sunset can create a feeling of shared calm and happiness, according to behavioural expert Judi James.

Actor picks cabin by the sea
Suchitra Pillai, Actor
I'd escape to a secret location, preferably to a cabin by the sea. You must ensure that you switch off your cell phone, and stay away from the Net. With these around, you won't have an opportunity to spend quality time together.
Stylist wants to walk in moonlight
Neha Bhogle, Stylist
I'd vote for walking hand-in-hand on the beach in the moonlight. What can get more romantic than that? The setting is perfect. If you aren't in the mood to talk, you can sit back and enjoy the view without anyone disturbing you.
Soppy romance is vital for a relationship
Dr Hitesh Shah, Wellness and relationship expert
Tender moments that a couple spend together, create the feeling of intimacy, which is important to strengthen a relationship. This is especially true for couples who have been together for a long time, or married for years. Complacency sets in, and they tend to take each other for granted. That's when the spark in their relationship fades, and boredom sets in.
