Why has MTV introduced Raghu's twin Rajiv Lakshman on this year's audition panel?
Raghu: Roadies' participants have observed me over time, and have predicted the kind of participant I would like, and not. The new member on the panel will add unpredictability, making it easier to gauge their true personalities.
Have you been introduced to balance Raghu's intensive grilling?
Rajiv: I am just going to be myself.
What is the Acid Test for participants to make the cut?
Raghu: They must be reactive, interesting and confident.
Rajiv: They must be engaging, and have substance; but we haven't defined what would make them interesting, and what wouldn't.
What is the funniest audition so far, in the history of Roadies?
Raghu: One guy posed as a blind man during the Delhi auditions last year. He blew his cover, and we threw him out. But, he returned to try his luck, this time as himself, for an audition in Jaipur.
Why is there an overdose of North Indian participants on Roadies?
Raghu: Roadies is a Hindi show, and Hindi shows are followed by North Indians more than audiences in the South. North Indians come with a certain attitude (whether that attitude is any good, is secondary); the aggression is in-built. But, this year, we want to try and communicate that Roadies is not only about aggressive people, it is about "interesting" people. We hope to pick up some more articulate and chilled out candidates in Bangalore.
Why is Australia the chosen spot this year?
Raghu: A huge part of Australia is difficult to live in. It's a ready spot for a show that's all about survival.
What changes have you planned in the format of the show this year?
Raghu: It's top secret! But, for starters, the auditions are taking place in six cities, and the show will include 20 Roadies.
Auditions of Roadies 6.0 will begin airing on MTV, November 29 onwards
