But when you know you are on the train to professional triumph, it's important to make sure you are not offloaded midway. Hollywood hottie Johnny Depp, who is enjoying a generous dose of limelight, fears his career might meet an abrupt end. Paranoia? No, it is the inability to handle a high. An entertainment portal reported the Pirates of the Caribbean star saying, "I never dreamed I would get this far and stay around for so long. In fact, I always wonder when I'm going to be rumbled and sent packing. It could happen tomorrow, so I'm just grateful for the jobs I get." Keeping vanity and arrogance at bay is prudent, but letting insecurity ruin the exhilaration, is just plain dumb.

What makes me try harder is when I encounter patients who are fighting an irreversible disease. 'We'll succeed in finding answers for them some day,' is what I tell myself."
