What do you do when you are in the western suburbs and want to listen to some good music, have a few drinks, yet not be surrounded by loud teenagers tapping their feet to hip hop music? The new pub Three Wise Men located at Santacruz is the answer.

The first hospitality venture from wise men Atul Chopra, Pratik Parekh and Nishant Joshi is located off Link Road in Santacruz, although we aren't sure if we would like to get high, happy or otherwise, bang opposite a cop station.
The space inside is warm, informal and has distinct spacious sections -- a bar, floors with tables and tall stools in the corner, a seating space with regular tables and a section with booths. The interiors have an English pub feel complete with brick walls, classic English alcohol brand logos painted on mirrors and framed, dark wooden flooring, an antique clock, an old British pay phone, a gramophone (which works) and paintings suspended from the ceiling.
Pita bread with three hummus servings (Rs 150)
A variety of international alcohol brands are on the menu along with the Indian brands. The prices are pocket friendly with a pint of beer starting at Rs 165. The quality of the dishes will leave you pleasantly surprised. We started with Pita Bread and Hummus (regular, garlic and sun-dried tomatoes) (Rs 150), the hummus was perfectly seasoned with not too much salt or lime and the garlic and sun, but could do with a little more olive oil. The hero of the dish was the perfectly toasted pita bread.
The best dish was Quesadillas with cheese served with a fiery salsa, creamy and finger-licking guacamole dip and rich sour cream sauce (Rs 220). The Barbeque Chicken Wings (Rs 295) however were the showstopper of the evening. The portions were liberal and the sauce was good (a tiny portion of blue cheese dip would have made it perfect).
We ended our evening with a platter of Chicken Satay (Rs 295) with a creamy peanut dip. The satay didn't knock our socks off but the peanut sauce that came with it was so extraordinary, we were contemplating requesting the chef to pack us some in a jar. The pub owners intend to add burgers and pastas to the menu in April.
