Should food habits discriminate poeple

Eating non-vegetarian food is more of a personal choice why should we even contemplate debating over such a trivial issue?

80 percent of Ghatkoparites are vegetarians but we still have three meat and fish markets.

Apart from the fast food joints, most of the restaurants here serve non-vegetarian food. And this has been the case for years I don't understand why we are suddenly creating a brouhaha over it now.

I am sure that if tomorrow Sachin Tendulkar, who is a non-vegetarian, were to buy a flat in one of these societies that have these inane rules, there would be a change in the rules.

even though I am a vegetarian I am dead against the idea of debarring non-vegetarians. We had a few non-vegetarian neighbours in our previous society, but I don't remember ever complaining about it.

I think most people have a problem with the smell that usually emanates while making non-veg preparations, especially fish. But, so is the smell while preparing ghee it's absolutely unbearable but we adjust to it.

I feel that it's more to do with one's tolerance level than with food habits. Why should a non-vegetarian be treated as an outcast or change his or her food habit to acquire a house?

Zankar Manek is Jayashree Maneks daughter.
