The formal range is priced betweenRs 3,500 and Rs 14,000

It is the first time that a spring-summer collection has found its way to the shelves at First Time boutique, located on 17th Road in Khar.

The largely Indo-western clothes are from five designers Sangeeta Desai, Deepika Gehani, Anu Singh, Lajjoo C, Kolkata-based Roopam Banerjee and Jaipur-based Monisha Thahryamal.

They have been sourced by Priya Kapoor, the owner of the store. This resident of Pali Hill says, "We have kurtis, kurtas and even a few sarees in stock right now.

There are semi-formal and formal outfits in crepe de chines, georgettes, chiffons and silks.

The semi-formal and formal range are priced between Rs 3,500 and Rs 14,000, while the sarees are priced from Rs 10,000 onwards. The bridal designs start at Rs 25,000.

Customers can also ask for a kurta outfit to be redesigned with a short kurti or ask for a kurta to be tailored for them with loose pants.

The store also has a bridal section that is open to clients by appointment.

"This section offers made-to-order garments to its clientele," says Kapoor.

This section has its own space within the store, (complete with changing room and comfy seating arrangement) where customers can choose their fabric, decide which embroidery style they prefer and get an outfit tailored within their budget.

The store also has a small collection of beaded evening bags by designer Meera Mahadevia.

It is open from 11 am to 7 pm, Monday through Saturday. Right now payments can be made only in cash.
